Power Distribution Unit Solutions

A PDU (power distribution unit) provides power to data centers (DCs) and other telecom equipment. DCs – especially servers and cooling systems, but also storage drives and networking devices – are power hungry and need that power to be uninterrupted and free of spikes.

Because of how ubiquitous and integral to modern life data centers have become – processing and storing the data for, and allowing access to, the internet – many solutions have been devised to provide them with the right amount of power with as little waste as possible. PDUs range from basic models that, with few frills and no whistles, provide an even flow of power, to smart PDUs (also known as intelligent PDUs, or iPDUs) that can monitor, manage, and control power consumption.
